Image APIs

A picture is worth a thousand words! Take advantage of IVA’s huge library of images and screen captures to create a stunning entertainment discovery experience.

Implementation Notes
  • Images are to be downloaded from IVA as per our Terms of Service. It is up to the client to manage, host, and serve the images they wish to use.
  • Be sure to check image availablity as images may be removed from the system at which point they should also be removed from the client system.
Endpoints
  • GetImage - /Images/{FilePath}/Redirect
  • GetScreenCapture - /Images/ScreenCaptures/Redirect
  • GetImageBatch - /Images/Batch
  • GetScreenCaptureBatch - /Images/ScreenCaptures/Batch
Image Types
  • Photo - Production Stills, Backdrops, Backgrounds, etc.
  • Poster - Poster for the program.
  • Portrait - Portraiat image of a person. Only available in the People API.
  • GetImageTypes - Returns full listing of types.
Screen Captures
  • Each still is handpicked by IVA.
  • Each still is picked from the video source.
  • Size of the image depends on the video source.
  • One still per video asset (4x3 & 16x9 versions available).

Posters
  • IVA images feature a violence and a sexuality score to allow devlopers to filter out more graphic images if they choose.
  • IVA recommends using posters marked as “official” in the metadata.
  • Poster sizes and aspect ratios may vary.

Photos
