Image API Guide

General Information

A picture is worth a thousand words! Take advantage of Fabric Origin’s huge library of images and screen captures to create a stunning entertainment discovery experience.

Images are to be downloaded from Fabric Origin as per our Terms of Service. It is up to the client to manage, host, and serve the images they wish to use.

Be sure to check image availability as images may be removed from the system at which point they should also be removed from the client system.

The Image API allows you to retrieve an image or a batch of images based on the FilePath. The FilePaths can be found inside the Entertainment API or the Celebrity API.

  • /Images/{FilePath}/Redirect - Allows you to get a single image.

  • /Images/ScreenCaptures/Redirect - Allows you to get one screen capture for a video asset.

  • /Images/Batch - Allows you to get a batch of images by passing an array of FilePaths.

  • /Images/ScreenCaptures/Batch - Allows you to get a batch of video asset screen captures in one API call by passing an array of FilePaths.

The examples below illustrate the types of images contained in the database.

If you are doing editorial about another topic and use an image from Fabric Origin, you need to reference or otherwise indicate the title of the film, TV show, or game to be promotional.
